Online Panel: EU's New Migration Pact: A remedy?

The H2020 project RESPOND will hold an open online event on EU’s new migration pact on October 20, 6 PM CET. Project researcher Prof. Umut Korkut, from Glasgow Caledonian University, will take part in the event as a panelist.

A key question that panelists will address is whether the pact can remedy the migration problems of the European Union and its Member states. By covering the topic, the event aims to provide an early analytical snapshot of the new pact and elaborate on its possible short- and long-term consequences.

The panel will be moderated by Prof Veronica Federico (University of Florence). Confirmed panelists include Prof Korkut as well as Dr Jean-Pierre Gauci (British Institute of Inter. & Comparative Law), Prof Chiara Favilli (University of Florence), and Dr Bernd Kasparek (Göttingen University).

Format: Panelist presentations (15 min each) + Q&A session.
